Vapemate E-Liquid Information

 

Please read this information carefully before you start using VapeMate Nicotine containing E-Liquid products it provides useful information on how to use it safely. This same information will also be supplied in a printed public information leaflet along with the product. If you think you are having side effects, have any questions or are not sure about anything please speak with your doctor, nurse or pharmacist and show them the leaflet.

What Vapemate E-Liquid Is For

 

Vapemate E-Liquid is a nicotine containing product (Unless stated as nicotine free or 0mg) to be used solely with Electronic Cigarettes and vaping devices. Vapemate E-Liquid is not recommended for use for people under the age of 18, non smokers or other people who do not already use nicotine. 

How To use The Product

 

Please refer to the device manufacturers instructions and ensure the bottle nozzle is firmly within the approximate area of device before starting to fill. The nozzle is 1mm wide and may not be suitable for use with atomisers or tanks that do not have a filling area greater than this diameter.

Storage

Store out of reach of children. Keep out of direct sunlight and keep below temperatures of 25℃. Store away from medical products such as eye drops to avoid accidents.

Contra-Indications 

Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in addition to Nicotine Vapemate E-Liquid also contains Glycerol, Propylene Glycol and Flavourings.

You should consult your doctor or another health care professional before using this product if

  • You have heart disease (such as a previous heart attack, stroke, or disorders affecting heart rate and rhythm)

  • You have respiratory problems (such as emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, or other disease that affect your respiratory tract)

  • You have an overactive thyroid gland (or other disease that affects the thyroid) 

  • You have diabetes (Use of nicotine may require changes to your medication , and more careful monitoring of blood surge levels)

  • Smoking and to a lesser extent nicotine may affect the uptake of certain medications. Before you switch to a non smoked nicotine source you may need to talk to your doctor about the need to adjust dosage of some drugs. ( These include but are not limited to clozapine, heparin, propranolol,  ropinirole, and theophyilline).

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding (Nicotine is able to cross the placental barrier and does present some risk to the unborn child. Nicotine use in pregnancy should be minimised or avoided altogether. However the use of non smoked nicotine will be safer to both you and your child than continuing to smoke). 

 

Warnings For Specific Risk Groups
 

Vapemate E-Liquid is not to be used by pregnant or breast feeding women without seeking advice from their GP. Not to be used by those with an allergy to any of the ingredients listed.

 

Possible Adverse Effects

 

Possible adverse events maybe experienced during the use of this product.

Commonly experienced are:

  • Irritation of the mouth and throat (this usually diminishes over time)
  • Cough
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Hiccoughs / Hiccups

Less common are:

  • Changes to heart rate
  • Chest palpiltations
Overdose of Nicotine may also cause:
 
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Feeling Light headed or faint.

 

Addictiveness And Toxicity

Nicotine is an addictive substance. Once you have started using Nicotine you may find it hard to stop. Most People experience little benefit from the use of Nicotine so it is better never to start.

Although the levels experienced during the use of this product should not be dangerous. If you suffer persistently from any side effects, or experience significant changes to breathing or heart rate you should consult your doctor.

Nicotine is toxic if ingested:

This product should be stored out of reach of Children (and pets).

Small spills or skin exposure are unlikely to have significant effect on adults. But should be cleaned up as soon as possible. If you experience significant nausea or changes in heart rate following any exposure seek medical attention.

If a Child comes into contact with or swallows this liquid you should contact local Accident & Emergency department immediately.
